So this year's resolutions for me are:

QUIT SMOKING

LOSE 20 POUNDS

SAVE MONEY

So, i got myself some "Commit Lozenges" to help in my efforts to quit smoking... they taste like shit, but so far they really do help with the cravings...... however the program that is recomended with the lozenges calls for 1 per hour for the first 6 weeks... and at 30 bucks for a box of 40, that won't be happening. i have gotten myself some tic-tacs to chew on and a stress ball to distract myself. the only time i will use the lozenges is when i can't kick the craving with anything else. so far today, day one of my efforts, i have used 3 lozenges in 7 hours... not too bad i think!

as far as losing weight is concerned, my first job was cutting out the soda, and energy drinks and replace them with water (i HATE drinking water!) i have also cut back on my coffee, and decided to reduce my calories in the coffee by drinking it black. i have started taking a multi vitamin also.... this won't exactly help me lose weight, but it helps make me a little healthier. i also invested in a sweat band, which wraps around my waist, and will cause me to sweat out some of the lard.... hopefully...lol. i have also started walking. not alot, because it has been years since i have been "active", so i'm starting small... one lap around the block every day, then as time goes on, i will increase the number of laps, and hopefully increase the workout regimine to include some toning... but for now, baby steps.

saving money won't be too hard now that i'm not buying ciggies anymore.... hopefully. i have decided that i am going to put half of what i spent on smokes into savings. i would generally spend upwards of $150 a month on smokes, so if i can put half of that away every month, then i will have a nice little nest egg in no time.... theoretically. i'm notorious for spending every dime i have, so we will see just how strong my willpower really is.

hopefully by this time next year, i will be smoke free, 20 pounds lighter, and have some money to burn...... on paper, these goals all look really easy to achieve, but i'm not exactly known for my iron will. resolutions, here i come!

so far i've lost 3 1/2 pounds, i've saved quite a bit of money but haven't been able to kick the ciggies yet.
