Power and magic of contrast.

As we go through our lives picking and choosing what we want to experience, contrast is the search engine which presents to us our choices.

I was in bed with my electric blanket on. I keep my room very cool in the winter and enjoy sleeping in a crisp temperature where I can see my own breath. I enjoy the snuggling down under a pile of heavy quilts and comforters with the electric blanket. It's like being in the womb.

I sat up at one point with my legs under the covers and my torso above. In just a few moments I realized how cold the upper part of my body was and how warm the lower felt.

It was one of those AH Ha things. I realized that the contrast between warm and comfortable and cool and uncomfortable offered me a choice.

I had only to choose my experience and move into it.

I chose the warmth and comfort and easily slid back down under the warm covers.

As I lay in bed I thought this over and realized that contrast always serves this purpose.

It points out options to us and gives us opportunity to decide what's next in our life experience.

I began considering how I make choices and move into experiences.

It works the same no matter the circumstance. If I am in a place of lack I am presented with abundance as my second choice.

If my body is experiencing pain and unbalance, health and well being are my second choice.

No matter the condition, there are always choices and contrast.

I continued to ponder the process of choice and realized that as I consider my options of cold and warm, comfortable and uncomfortable, I had only to focus on one and move into the experience.

I didn't have to wrestle with it, work on it, or resist the experience I didn't want. I turned my attention to the warmth and comfort and moved into it easily. I had a “vision” of how wonderful the warm covers felt on my cold body. As I thought this and made my decision, it was a very natural act to slide down into the warm.

Many times we wrestle with the contrast and continue to attract what we don't want. It's like being in a dark room and fighting against the darkness rather than turning on a light or walking into a lit room.

We know it would be silly to stand and fist fight against the darkness, yet we do this more often than we realize.

Whenever we continue to give our passion, emotions, thoughts and energy to the contrast we do not want to experience, we guarantee that we will attract it over and over again.

However, when we turn our attention on the option we do wish to experience and move steadily in that direction, allowing our emotions to flow in joy and exuberance, we quickly attract the more pleasant choice.

As we continue practicing moving easily into the option which we desire, we find it quicker to get to the do wants and realize that we attract less of the don't wants in our lives.

Don't resist the options, allow the contrasts to provide you with a rich garden on choices to move through with your shopping cart of desire.

Make it easy, let it be simple and enjoy.
