Hopefully all my friends interested in adoption reform have read my journal post from last week. (If not please do!)
Soooo, I still feel the same way, my anger has not lessened.
I heard privately tonight from yet another mom whose open adoption was slammed shut in her face.
How do I channel this energy of wanting to help?!
How did my activist friends get started? Please tell me!
I think I have maybe helped a little here on Cafemom but I know many of you direct your energies elsewhere. The question is where?
And are those places welcoming to adoptive parents?
Please direct me - either here or in a private message.

Ah, yes, of course I have! There are many places and groups. Here are two forums:
About.com - has a forum and articles. The group guide who handles the forums is an adoptive mom whose mother was a birth mom. She reunited with a sister a few years back.

Adoption.com - has many adoption related forums as well.

Favorite groups that fight for adoption reform are:
Ethica http://www.ethicanet.org
Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute http://www.adoptioninstitute.org/index.php
American Adoption Congress http://www.americanadoptioncongress.org/
ALL welcome adoptive parents. In fact, there are many aparents in all these groups. I began with CUB http://www.cubirthparents.org/ and then started writing and getting articles published.
