What's new---back to school for both Maia and me.

So, if you have read my previous posts you know that Jason and I have been considering sending Maia back to school.  It was a really hard decision, because I would really love to homeschool her, but she is going to go back tomorrow.  I am really excited and nervous for her.  I think that it will be good for her to be around some kids her own age.  There is also an art club that she can join and the newspaper that she can work at.  She will love this.  So, she is off to junior high tomorrow!

Then next week, I start school at SIU for art history.  This fall I took a couple of internet (core) courses but I will be actually in school this semester.  School has been an on-going process since Maia was born (11 years ago!) and then I took a break once I had Sabyn (5 years ago).   I will be glad to finally be done (I will graduate next spring).  Have some closure, ya know!  I was originally going to school for sculpture but have changed my major to art history because it was the fastest way to get done (but I love art history too and I can create art on my own).  The thing that bites is that even though I have to take 2 classes, they are spanned across 4 days.  Not to mention that the drive to school is at least 30 min! 

So, if you are reading this, send Maia and I some positive vibes.  I know Maia will be fine but I am feeling too gosh darned OLD to be going back to school!
