I just had a baby boy 3 1/2 months ago and now I'm afraid I might be pregnant again. I started the depo-shot at my 6 week appointment and didn't have sex for a while after I had the shot as well because I was afraid since I had an episiotomy. I have been having signs of being pregnant, same signs I had when I was first pregnant with my son. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests but they both came back negative, I did not have a period for all of December and I started what I "thought" was going to be my period this morning, it was really light and now completely stopped. All of these things are what happened exactly the same when I found out I was nearly 2 months pregnant with my son, the negative pregnancy tests then, starting what I thought was a period and then it stopping, 3 days later I took a test and it came back positive. I really don't know what to do, I want more kids but not this soon. Have you ever heard of anyone getting pregnant on the depo-shot? And how common has it happened? Is it possible if it's not administered completely correctly it won't take effect? Please any advice would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

Hmmm, my daughter is a depo baby
most likely it is just the fact your period has not returned to it normal schedule, just relax and test again in a few days

I don't know how effective the depo shot is but I think it's pretty effective. I do know, however, that it can really screw with your body including your period (I was on it for over a year long long ago)

I was on the depo shot for over 11 years and never had a period the whole time I was on it. I am now trying to have a baby and can't get my body to ovulate like it should. My dr told me is was cause from being on the shot for so long.

After my baby was born I had signs of being pregnant. Sometimes your body hasn't adjusted. I have an IUD, no period. I always feel pregnant with this. It's best to call and talk to your doctor.
