1. FIRST NAME:  Tara

2. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? I was named after a place:  The Hill of Tara, in Ireland. My uncle, John, (who was from Ireland originally) suggested the name.  I tease my father now, saying they didn't realize what they were getting me in to when they named me after a place with such strong Pagan roots.  I secretly think that it was one of those meant-to-be kinds of things, now.

3. WHEN DID YOU LAST CRY?  Yesterday, I got all choked up singing along to the songs from Mary Poppins.. lol!  It was the first time my kids have watched it - and though they weren't particularly interested (they're both still in that cartoon-loving stage), it reminded me of when I was a little kid watching it.. and life was so much simpler then...

4. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? Yes, for the most part.

5. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? Turkey or chicken. 

6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? Of course!

7. DO YOU HAVE A JOURNAL? Blah.  I've tried over the years to keep one faithfully.   I have a blog on tblog.com, but have mostly been using the blog feature on myspace lately.

8. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS? Yes, unfortunately...

9. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP? Not if you paid me...

10. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL? Raisin Bran or Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

11. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? I wish I could be barefoot all the time. -sigh-  I have only one pair of shoes that tie - and yes, I untie em when I take them off.

12. DO YOU THINK YOU ARE STRONG? If I wasn't a strong person, I'd probably be in the psych ward by now...

13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM FLAVOR? Cherry Vanilla

14. SHOE SIZE? 6.5 -7

15. RED OR PINK? I was a pink-a-holic as a little girl, but red is my favorite color these days.

16. WHAT IS THE LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF? My teeth.  I hate them and their 'genetically weak' enamel.  My mouth is a mess.. :(

17. WHO DO YOU MISS THE MOST? Brian.  I miss his arms around me, I miss waking up in the middle of the night and feeling him breathing next to me, and I miss his help dealing with the kids.. like is so much less stressful, and so much more HAPPY when he's here.  I always miss him when he's back 'home' in Wisconsin.  Though the upcoming summer visit looks like it will be his longest trip so far - as long as his work situation works out the right way.

18. DO YOU WANT EVERYONE TO SEND THIS BACK TO YOU? Sure.

19. WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING? Barefoot and in a pair of aqua-ish plaid PJ pants.

20. LAST THING YOU ATE? French toast with blueberry maple syrup.. mmm!

21. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? Thomas the Tank Engine is on the TV.. the theme song is playing at the moment.  Also listening to Liam's awful whiny-screechy sound.. Braedon is chasing him..

22. IF YOU WERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE? Rosebud red or Shamrock green!

23. FAVORITE SMELL? Cinnamon and vanilla, and Brian's Phoenix Axe body spray.. mm...

24. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? My ex, the boys' father.

25. THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE YOU ARE ATTRACTED TO? Eyes, mouth, and hands.

26. DO YOU LIKE THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU? I don't know her very well, but she seems nice. :)

27. DO YOU WEAR CONTACTS? Nope.

28. FAVORITE FOOD? I like Italian, especially lasagna.  If you want specific foods, Lindor truffles, watermelon, and English cucumber sliced and salted.

29. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? Happy endings.  Well, they don't have to be happy endings, really.. they can be sad too, as long as there are no 'loose' ends you're left wondering about when the movies is over.

30. 1st boyfriend or crush? Um.  I got married on the playground when I was 5 years old, to a boy named Billy.  My first boyfriend was in grade 5, his name was Matthew.. but that was back in the day when it was a big deal just to hold hands with each other.  Blah I dunno.. I had a few childhood flings... my first really big head-over-heels and emotionally-connected-with crush was Mike Hanf, and I was 15 years old.   I'm still really close to him, 16 years later.. :)

31. WHAT WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD NICKNAME? I don't really remember having one.. when I was in residence during my university years, some of the residence bunch decided to give everyone nicknames to post on their doors... I was "the Little One."  Because I'm short.. I'm 5'1 and 100lbs...  

32. WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO VISIT? I have not travelled often, but I have been to some very wonderful places.  I love the mountains in New Hampshire - we drove through the state twice on family vacations when I was young. I still remember the feeling of awe - I'd never seen anything like that before.  I've travelled to England twice now, and I'm going back again in 2.5 months.   London wasn't all that impressive, I found... but as most of my visit involved places in the southern part of the country (Dover, Deal, Portsmouth, Gosport, Lee-on-Solent), we spend a fair bit of time travelling by bus through the countryside.. and WOW the English countryside in May.. lush, green.. and such wonderful flowers everywhere!

33. LAST TRIP TO A STORE? Hmmm.. two days ago, to one one of the big grocery stores here, SuperStore. Bought bread, milk, and a whole whack of really nice winter mitts for the boys - they were on sale! ;)

34. WHAT COLOR SHIRT ARE YOU WEARING? Umm... wearing a white t-shirt with butterflies and flowers on it, and over that a pink velvet hoodie.

35. SUMMER OR WINTER? Summer. 

36. HUGS OR KISSES? Both, in that order.

37. FAVORITE DESSERT? Umm.. hmm.  Despite my probable lactose intolerance, I really like ice cream.. or anything that combines cherries and chocolate..  cheesecake is good too.

38. PERSON LEAST LIKELY TO RESPOND? I have no idea.

39. PERSON MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND? See above. :P

40. WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU READING? A Bed of Red Flowers: In Search of My Afghanistan, and just finished reading Ash Wednesday, by Ethan Hawke.

41. WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? It's blue... and has one of those funky gel wrist rests? No picture or anything.

42. WHAT DID YOU WATCH ON TV LAST NIGHT? CSI Miami.  One of the channels plays like 6 episodes in a row on Friday nights.  <3 Horatio <3 lol... (sad, I know!)

43. WHATS IS YOUR FAVORITE SOUNDS? The sound of my children breathing peacefully while they sleep.. the sound of the ocean and the waves lapping up on the rocks, the hum of a big commercial aiplane flying high over my house on a warm summer day,  the sound of Brian's voice whispering sexy things in my ear, and music.. must always have music :)

44. Rolling Stone or BEATLES? Beatles!! Woohoo!

45 .FURTHEST YOU HAVE LIVED FROM HOME? Pointe-de-L'eglise, Clare.  I went to university there, about an hour's drive up the French shore from where I live now.   Oh, and I suppose I could also list Fanning Brook, just outside of Mt. Stewart, PEI.  But that was when I was 8 - we only lived there for about five months.

46. YOUR SPECIAL TALENT?  My empath abilities...

47. WHERE WERE U BORN? Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.  I still live here. :)

my aunt is an empath. very cool, but not always so fun, i understand.

i guess gerald ohara (scarletts dad) got the name tara from the same place, huh? he was irish...
