Isn't that why we have Mondays?  I think so.  I think God gave us and end to the week to close out any of the negative things and then gave us a beginning of the week... to start again.

Today I am feeling much better.  The herbal stuff seems to be helping with my depression.  I'm not going to cry at the drop of a cracker crumb.  Today has been productive for me.  I think I got 3 more loads of laundry washed and dried.  Tomorrow (or later) I will fold and put them away.  Tonight is grocery night, so it won't be tonight.  The daycare kids have recovered from their bought with a nasty bug.  Poor Addy had pneumonia last week from it.  She is back to her normal, rowdy self.  It's nap-time right now.  The girls lay in the cots behind me sleeping.  Maddie's talking in her sleep again.  Something about berries.   She's only two  but talks in her sleep often.  Ava's FINALLY crawling!  She only went about 2 feet before she gave up and did the "army crawl" she does.  I know she'll be running by summer.  Just wanting to catch up with the rest of the brood.

Oh, other than laundry; I got most of the dishes caught up.  Even with three kids having chores they still don't get done on Sundays and I'm stuck with them Monday morning.  Especially if I want to feed the daycare.  I'm not sure what to do to get my teens to keep up with their chores.  We were able to sit down today and have table time/preschool time.  Finally, after months of not doing it, ok only one month, but it was great.

So any wisdom from any moms of older kids on chores would be greatly welcomed.  I just don't know how to get things moving with them.  Angel works from 4 to either 8 or 10 2-3 nights a week, including Saturday and Sunday.  She doesn't go out often so I can't ground her from things.  Caitlynn, well, depending on the chores, she's getting better.  THere's always a week of "easy" chores since we rotate them.  I'm just not sure how to help encourage them to get them done when I want them done.

Then of course, my friend Cheryl is in the hospital.  I talked to her Saturday.  She was having pains in her leg, we both chalked it up to her MS.  Her hubby took her into the hospital around noon yesterday.  I guess her leg swelled up.  It's not broken, they did Xray it.  Last I knew they were doing an MRI.  I hope she's feeling better soon.  I had to cut our conversation short Saturday because everyone was bothering me while I was on the phone.

So, the snow have begun.  Don't know how much we're really going to get.  No one has boots but Maddie.  So we'll be walking thru the snow in tennis shoes in a little over an hour.  I still need to make snack for PM snack.  I don't know what I'm going to make yet.  It was supposed to be toast and apple juice, but my kids ate all the bread over the weekend.  I have plenty in there though.  I will figure something out for them.

I'm trying to be more creative with the meals and snacks.  I actually cooked 3 times last week!  For the family that is.  It's so difficult to make dinners for my family.  I can't just make a tuna casserole, no one would eat it.  Tanis doesn't eat many veggies and Angel doesn't eat any meat!  Then there's Caitlynn who wants carbs like Tanis.  And here's Will and I trying to be careful of what we eat.  Trying to count our WW points is almost unrealistic some days.

So, although I've hopped from one topic to another here.  I think I've covered what's popped into my head in the last few minutes.  I was reading some posts from other journals here.  There is such diversity here at CafeMom, it's great.

Hi Cathie-  Wow that was a lot.  It was almost like getting a letter!  Hope the depression is getting better.  I have a terrible time with it this time a year.  Have you ever tried any prescriptions for it.  I am on two and I have been SOOO much better.  Jeff is on an antidepressant too, but it is not the right one for him.  He is barely functioning.  All he does is sleep and work and sleep.  And when he is awake he is very irritable and yells a lot.  It is taking its toll on all of us.  He is going back to the doctor this week.  I hope they change something.  I can't take much more.

I can't give any good advice about teenagers, having not been there yet.  I know when I was a teenager nothing but the fear of my father motivated me to do much of anything.  Good luck.

We have just had a dusting of snow, but it has gotten much colder.  I can't stay warm, which is amazing considering the amount of insulation I have!

Didn't know you guys were on weight watchers.  I rejoined last week.  I had been a member before I had each kid.  They have a weight watchers at work meeting in one of the buildings on our campus, so I went.  That takes care of the not having to get a sitter, which makes things easier.  Jeff works second shift, and our one reliable evening babysitter just dropped of the face of the earth.  What a pain it is to start all over.  I got a couple names from people at church, but nobody that can drive :(  .  Oh well.  Hope things are looking up!
