OK.  I've been up now since 4:30 (nearly 2 1/2 hours).  I've managed to get the laundry folded (some 6 large capacity loads).  This is a major accomplishment.  Now I have to get it all put away, but at least the day is started.

I'm a little frantic because my family is visiting today, and my step-dad has not seen my place yet.  Unfortunately, I have not been able to keep up to the whole house and some rooms are much better than others.  I'm not up for a grand tour of my mess!  LOL  As long as they all have a place to sit (there's 4 adults and 3 kids coming), I think I'm ok.  Right now, my living room is burried under piles of clean laundry.

I have yet to tackle the dishes and counters, but I also need to tack care of the bathroom.  I only have til about 10:30 to accomplish all this (no pressure).  It's a good thing my 10 year old is off school.  That way I can enlist his help.  He can unload the dishwasher for me and pick up and vacuum the living room.  Heck, he can make breakfast for the little ones!  I just hope he's in a "helping mood" or we're going to have WWIII on our hands.  I'm not really up for a battle I don't have time for.

Anyway, I guess my Christmas isn't over yet.  After today, we still have one more after the new year to go to.  Then I think it will all be over.   OK  Keep me in your thoughts and prayers today.  I will let you all know how things went later.  Many blessings on all of your days!

Dec. 28, 2006 at 9:32 AM Good luck getting the house cleaned! I have to clean today as well and have no energy to do it. It's just one of those blah looking days outside. Hopefully my DS will help. However, sometimes it is better if he stays out of my way. LOL

Dec. 28, 2006 at 11:22 AM Try to relax and enjoy.  There are more important things to enjoy today than a clean house.  Although I do know how stressful it can be worrying about it.

Dec. 28, 2006 at 11:47 AM My brother and my step-dad have never been here before.  I want them to actually see the house and not the mess.  Does that make sense?  I've been here for almost 4 years and they've never seen my house.  Can I just say that you can collect a lot of JUNK in that time frame?  LOL  I need to not be such a darn pack rat!  LOL
