Last night I was a panelist at the White Plains Public Library (what a facility! I was most impressed by the packed homework help room--the library as community center is a marvellous thing!) with Jane Green (chick lit pioneer and all around adorable gal), Pam Dorman (super editor of books including The Memory Keeper's Daughter) and Beth Felman, whose website, ROLE MOMMY, is a great find.
What fun!
Jane is hilarious and delightful. Pamela is wise and what's more, she knits!
And of course, my favorite part is the Q&A, even though I may've been a little distracted and ambled off course answering some questions (I worry about sharing the time with the other panellists and don't want to dominate, but there's a reason I'm a novelist--I love the long form!), it was a fantastic event. Fun, too--Beth had a what's-in-your-purse giveaway of great goodies, including her book, Peeing in Peace, and copies of my book, and new mommy book/pajama sets.
