I'm 29 years old and have 3 children.My son is from a different relationship. I got married when my son was 31/2. Then had 2 girls one year after each other. I worked in the mental health field for 7 and 1/2 years. I just became a stay at home mom in Oct 06. Its been very hard to get adjusted. All my kids have some kind of special need. I'm all alone and really don't have close friends. My husband is great but sometimes does'nt understand why I'm fusrated.

Welcome to the SAHM club!  I am debating if I should write here and read more posts or jump in the shower, actually do my hair and make up, or not, clean the carpets or not, or lay down and just watch Oprah and be depressed.  I think the shower is in order.  Husbands don't understand stay at home moms.  They just think that they would love to stay home but they forget about the kids ruling the roost!  There is a lot of work to it, isn't there?  Welcome to Cafe Mom!

Mar. 7, 2007 at 4:31 PM Thats why God made women moms :)  It took along time for me and my husband to help each other in that area.  I would want him to help after he worked a long day and he would want to rest.  We finally realized each others needs......If he came home and needed to rest I will let him rest for a hour then i get a hour to myself.  Doesnt always work out that way but we are in tune to each others needs and thats what is important.  Of course there are always those times of both of us wanting more time then the other, but I guess that only makes us human :)
