Mar. 6, 2007 at 5:14 PM My daughter is 6 months and she has started doing the same thing.  Sometimes I can handher a toy or a wipe and she will sit still.  If not, I admit I do throw my leg over her sometimes to hold herjust long enough to stick the tabs, then I'll stand her up and tighten them up.

Mar. 6, 2007 at 5:14 PM LMAO!!!!!  We go through the same thing!  I have found that if we hand Robbie something of "ours"...not a baby toy....and sing to him itsy bitsy spider, he is distracted enough to lay still and let us change it.  It is a stage they go through and it could last for months!  We also change Robbie "standing up" if it isn't soiled.  He thinks that is funny!  Good luck!

Mar. 6, 2007 at 5:16 PM I was a nanny for three years and had boys that were the EXACT same. The only thing that helped me was to put them on the floor to change the diaper and change them upside down, a cool trick one of the boy's mom showed me. You can kinda steady their head with your knees and keep them occupied, they love seeing you upside down, and pull those legs up and get to changing! They are a little compressed but no squirming! Let me know if this trick still works! I will have one of my own soon and need to dust off the nanny tricks! lol
