Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... so I thought I was going to be in massive trouble as I had spent stupid money on a new stroller I did not need...Tom got in from work yesterday and was a little sheepish, I had a friend round who he normally has a good old chitter chatter with, but Yesterday he seemed quite distant, then came the announcement....'I have some news...I have been made redundant as of Thursday' ...Fine in its self because he is a plumber he has loads of work he can take on so he can start by himself, But 3 days notice was alittle harsh I think.

The other worries are that when you work for your self you need to know how to budget and with Trades its either 'Feast or Famine' so we may go weeks with no money and a few days with loads, Where is the problem you ask...well....

The problem is that Tom is anti Computers (he has been known to say things like 'Computers will never take off -what would people use them for anyway?' ) so last night I pointed out that if he has 3 days to start a business we needed to start soon, this is where the attitude came in -from that moment forward he was a complete (excuse Language )A*hole...'well errr what do you mean need to start now' so I kindly point out that he will need a Van or some form of transport that is NOT our family car, He will need Public Liability insurence, he will need to sort out his own Tax and organise his own jobs, He will need to advertise and hire/ buy the relevant tools he will need that his previous boss would have had. So he starts doing the - Iam irritated so by pulling this face I will emphasise how annoyed Iam with you for suggesting using the computer to buy insurence - which in turn makes me want to flick his head off- for being such a caveman.

Iam trying to help and be supportive and he is just being stubborn and proud, I suggest I go back to work and he just turns his nose up as if there is a bad smell, Iam more than happy to go back to work and stack shelves in the evening or go back to a salon during the day (although Iam not quite sure whether that would be worth my while as the cost of child care would outweigh what I would earn during the day).

He has been a nightmare for the last 24 hours - Iam at my wits end, I sent him off to work with bacon and eggs to try and chill him out but all I got was negativity...so I just have to wait for the calm after the storm to tell him I just spent £350 on a stroller ($700) I emailed the company about a return and the courier is £50,($100) so I have ruled that out Iam going to have to sell the old one very quickly and say I got a HUGE discount on the new one!!!

In the mean time Iam trying to sort out a van, insurence and business cards...Luckily I am superwoman...Or so he thinks.

oh momma... i am thinking of you & i hope that things work themselves out.

i am sure his ego is bruised at having been made redundant...

i am sure he is also probably a little scared about what is going to happen, security for the family, and having to strike out on his own in full-force like this...
