Out of the mouths of babes

About a week ago I was laying  on the couch recovering from a hard day of regular mom stuff. My Daughter is five and she says to me  "Mommy,  I'm the doctor and you are having a baby" As she shoves one of her baby dolls under my sweater.  She then grabs a clip board and says " what is your name?" and I told her D----H----, and she writes this carefully down on her clipboard and then says to me "Now what is your real name?" so I tell her again D---H----, she says again rather perturbed at this point  "NO Your Real Name!"

I knew at this point that I obviously did not understand the rules. " So Honey what is my real name?" I asked. She looked at me as if I where the dumbest person she has ever met and said  " Your real name is MOMMY!"  

I giggled to myself as she  pretended to examine me, It really says a great deal about what is important to our little ones!  By the way the baby is a girl and her name is Dora.
