Boby went back for his check-up (after our very scary appointment last week) today.  Since I have totally switched gears--from supplementing breastfeeding with formula and food to supplementing formula and food with breastmilk--he has gained an amazing 2 lbs. and 3 oz.!  Although I really wish that I could have continued to exclusively breastfeed, I feel that we have found the solution to the problem.  While I had high hopes--and very serious plans, as a stay-at-home mom--to breastfeed for his first year, I feel that we have made the right decision in this circumstance.  I want, more than anything, for my son to be healthy.  And now I feel that he is!

For those who have replied to my previous post, thank you so much for your support!  This has been a very difficult and scary week for us, and we so are glad that Bobby is gaining weight and thriving now!
