Should we be so grateful?

Salaams and peace to All:

I was just reading yesterday that in Haiti, families have to resort to eating dirt to survive, they make mud pies, ya Allah!! La Hawla wa La Quwatta illah Billah! The children have to eat this to cure their hunger and it this saddens me to read things like this. Allah has blessed us with food, clothing, shelter, a chance to go outside and witness His beautiful creations, and are we really grateful?? Instead some of us complain about trivial matters that are not relevant to anything!! There are people suffering ALL over the world, who are going through things much, much worse than we are. This is why I love the Hadith to look to the person below you and be grateful!! May Allah make us thankful slaves and appreciate His blessing upon us, something we take for granted.

Alhamdulliah!  Mysha Allah sis.  Haiti.. That is where my husband is from. So much is going on there.  May Allah guide them to Islam and rectify thier affair.  The US.. has much to do with the hunger and poverty those people are suffering.  Insha Allah he will guide them to the correct path, bring them out of disbelief and shirk. Did you know that they have mosque in Haiti. Subhan Allah.. I thought that when i was going there that i was going to be the only  muslim woman covered in hijab and jilbab.. but mysha Allah soon as i got off the  plane i was greeted with As Salamu Alaikum. It warmed my heart!

Many don't have anything.. and things are getting worse all we can do is pray that Allah will raise them out of disbelief and shirk and bring them bountifullness in health, food and piety.
