I am in a group here in Halifax called Freecycle where you can either offer something you don't want- or ask for something you need. I posted an ad yesterday about an older Sega Genesis Game system with 4 games my son was given and doesn't use. He got a used gamecube for christmas and doesn't need it- so I thought someone on freecycle might want it. Well- the response was staggering. I got about 20 replies-but one of these replies stuck out to me like a sore thumb. This woman was looking for a sega genesis system for a little 12 year old boy with MS who had been given a few sega games and needed the main console. I couldn't believe what I was reading- I was thrilled I was going to be able to help this dear little boy. The woman called me today and she said he is very sweet and she has been looking for one for him at the flea markets for a while- then she saw my post . I cannot tell you how warm and at peace I am inside because I can do this for him. I myself don't have much money and to make a difference in this boy's life means the world to me. They are picking it up tomorrow evening and I can't wait to hear how he likes it. This feels like it was meant to be- like god was watching out for this boy- and made a difference in me in the meantime. I am so pleased. Funny how even the smallest gestures can make a world of difference. May god bless him!![]()
