I received a hysterical phone call from my best friend a little while ago, I could barely make her out. Her mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer today. The doctors discovered that she had pancreatic cancer that has already spread to her liver, they figure she may have about 6 months. I didn't know what to say, all I kept saying was how sorry I was, and telling her that I would be here for her no matter what she needed, whether it be an ear or someone to watch the kids. I mean, what do you really say in this sort of situation. DOes anyone have any advice? I want to be here for her, I just worry about saying the wrong thing, ahhh

She survived 9 months...    this will be a hard time ..Offer to watch her kids when ever...And just be there for her during the wakes and funeral..Believe me she will remember who was there for her...   All the best to you and your friend..
