My daughter is going to be one in two weeks. She kinda scoots sideways but never really crawls. She is more concerned with pulling herself up. And I have started the begining of walking stages with her. Since she loves to stand and hang on to the furniture. Some people tell me that kids sometimes go straight to walking. And others say they've never heard of this. Should I be concerned?

Feb. 1, 2008 at 1:33 AM A lot of babies skip crawling.  In fact, crawling isn't really even considered a real milestone anymore.  My son did an army scoot, learned to walk at a year, and THEN crawled normally.  LOL.
