Question: What do you do to put your child to sleep when they are preschooler?

stay with them until they fall asleep

close their door and ignore their call

My daughter never had an issue to sleep at night until 6 months again . We moved country and she started preschool for the first time last September  

. It was a lot of change but  her sleep pattern are all over the place. She fall asleep ( deep sleep at 6 o clock) and she wake up at 8 o clock. I have try so hard to keep her awake ... it is a nightmare.. As  for a bedtime routine , we do as following: read a book, brush teeth, prayers....it is for about 1 hours.. even when she doesn't fall asleep at 6 o'clock, she still goes to sleep later 10 o' clock....Do you mum have some advises and tips you could share? Thanks.

I can't speak from experience but wht I would try doing it. Try hard to keep her up, do somthing new each day that will catch her interest and make her not want to sleep because she is too excited. See if that works. If it doesn't then at her bed time lay her down and tel her it is time to sleep if and when she gets up out of bed put her straight back in and tell her you love and and goodnight. Every time she gets up put her back, she will eventually not get up and stay in her bed until she goes back to sleep. SHe may not like it and she may cry for the first week. But it will get better repetition is the key, once she realizes whats expected of her she will go to sleep easier. Try it, it is hard to let your child cry but in the long run it will be better for her, she needs to have a schedule before she gets to school next year.

What time does you daughter get up in the morning?  Maybe after dinner take a walk, play some games or do a craft project.  You could also have her rest right after lunch so she wont be so tired at 6pm.

I have one in preschool- she gets up at 8am and goes to bed at 8pm.  She does not take a nap and goes to preschool for 2 & 1/2 hours every morning.
