Happy Birthday Dad,

We miss you terribly, but I know you are having the time of your life.  You would have been 63 years old today, but  this year is your first birthday with Jesus.  You have a brand new body that isn't sick anymore, it doesn't hurt you to walk anymore, you can breathe without weasing, you don't have to take chemo anymore.  I am so happy for you today, you have the angels singing you happy birthday today, you are with your mom and dad, and all the people from church whose funerals your preached to celebrate today with you.

Forgive us for being sad today, we will miss having cake with you and hearing you say, what did you get your daddy for his birthday.  We are selfish, but I want you to have the best birthday ever

Joy cometh in the morning, we will be apart but for one day.

3 kisses to you daddy

Love, Baby Sue

Feb. 12, 2008 at 1:40 PM I stumbled across your page on Steph's page...oh what a lovely statement...my dad also passed away...actually one day before his own b-day...so, that's hard..and my mom passed away 4 mo. before him...so double whammie...I love what you wrote..it inspired me..I know and and am thankful my parents are together, but am selfish that I want them here with me..want them to be here to see our beautiful daughter graduate high school this year, watch my youngest play in sports, watch my middle boy growing into a man. ;(   Thanks for those words you wrote...his death date/birthday is approaching in a few months...(2 years now..seems like yesterday-still)
