The other night I was watching a re-run of the 2007 CMA awards. I saw a song that caught my eye called "Letter to Me" by Brad Paisley. Regardless of whether you like country music or not, it was about a young man reflecting on his life and giving advice about things that happened. So I got to thinking what would I write in a letter to myself...This is my letter...Feel free to share yours to if you want, if you don't, that's cool too...Here's my stab at it...

Dear Joan,

You are a beautiful girl on the inside and out. Do not waste your precious tears on your father's problems. They are exactly that. Your father's problems. Do not worry so much about the way you look or how chubby you are compared to the other girls. You won't even see these girls down your path in life! High school is just 4 years of your life! That's right! Only 4!!! Don't waste time lusting after guys. The right one will come along without any major work. Spend every minute you can with family and friends, especially your brother. You'll miss greatly when he's not around. Know that your struggles with your grandpa's death will come to end, but he'll always be an angel on your shoulder. There are big things to come for you. You'll experience the greatest love of all and it'll come in the tiniest package. They'll be some hard times with your health, but with prayer and loved ones you'll see it through. You have your rightful place in this life!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 11:07 AM I love that song. Sometimes I do miss high school but then I remember all the drama. HA HA the thing is is those things are so little in comparison to life. You find the greatest things after high school but also some of the toughest.
