Ever since I went on bed rest at 28weeks pregnant, we have been struggling financially. My son was born 9months ago and I have been home with him ever since. My 3yr old attends a full day pre-k program in one of our city's public schools(follows public school calender). I am going buggy being in the house all day every day. There is only so much regis and kelly and a baby story that I can take. My husband starting on sunday will be working nights at his job. I used to work before my bed rest at a childcare center for the last 5yrs. I found a job the same as I used to do in another center and have an interview on Monday. My dilema is that I am not even sure it is worth it. I would want to bring my son 1/2 day for the morning so my husband could sleep, but their infant program is full and has a waiting list. My mil is home until 2 but she sometimes gets sil to work and in a week she is going to her country for 2 weeks. I am not sure she will be reliable all of the time. Plus what about my daughter's school vacations and summers? I looked at the center's website and it is beautiful! The place looks like a really nice place. I would love the job. But I am not sure it is worth it. However I am not sure how we are going to survive without extra income. We are barely making it and it is stressing our marriage and family. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You could work from home--I had all the same kind of situations and struggled with schedules being a single mom of 3--It was CONSTANT.  Then I came home to work.  I found a company and a team leader that is more like my best friend / mentor.  Linda is full of energy and has 3 kids too---and over the years I have met tons of moms just like me.....and I have helped them work at home. Its easy and fun and $1 to get your own site...... I make great money-- Whew-It was like a ton of bricks off my shoulders.  I make my own hours and I can work from anywhere in the world, and do !  I wish someone had told me sooner.....thank God for my team.

Anyway--if you want to talk, I am here or email me anytime.

I think it depends on how much they pay per hour.  Where I live in NJ, childcare centers pay between $8-10 per hour which is not much here because the cost of living is high.  Maybe they would let you bring Joseph for a reduced fee.  See how it goes on Monday and if it would be worth it for you and your family.  Good luck in whatever decision you make.

Would it be possible for you to use your 5yr daycare experience to open a at home daycare? Taking on a few kids should bring in a good amount to help with the bills and you wouldn't have to worry about your mil's schedule or your 3yr old's summer vacations.
