JUST TO MAKE IT INTERESTING!!!! What do you think, that this many mommies could do?

Just imagining what this number of mommies banded together could do!  I am just realizing that this website could be a great resource for so many things.  I recently posted a thread on a bulletin (like so many others) about wanting to be home with our children.  Thank you to everyone who responded, I've made some friends off of it.  I'm cooking up something... more later.

Love! Crystal

Feb. 1, 2008 at 3:55 PM I just knew right off that you were here for a reason! I too came here for support, just of a different kind. I'm dealing with a 33 year old daughter that is an addict and has had her two children taken away permanently. (Thank God!) But because of all my health troubles we have found it best to not try to adopt them. We also don't think they would be safe here. As soon as she gets out of jail, she will head to where ever the kids are and try to take them. Of that I'm certain. At this point, I know she is carrying a gun where ever she goes, and is bound to use it to get her children, and I can't make the State understand what a danger she is to the kids right now. I'm no good at asking for help. Having been a commercial fisherman for 30 years has made me fairly self sufficient, but I'm unable to see any good ending to this mess. So I came here looking for help, and hoping I could offer some too. And I've found just that! I'm certain you have also, friend!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 4:03 PM Here it comes! Okay, first of all, I would get  a TPO (Temporary Protective Order) against her issued for you AND the children.  I would adopt them, that is me.  I would maybe even re-locate.  Those babies, you don't want them to end up with some physco who could abuse them or is just a foster parent for the money. I have seen a lot of that around here.  There are organizations that will reach out and help you.  You could also get medical insurance for the children to insure that they are healthy, and get food stamps or other assistance to allow you to keep them.  I WOULD fight for full custody and have her rights terminated.  I know it is scary, you just don't know, I have personal experience in this... but it is the right thing to do and I think you will find it enriching for you as well.  I know that your health is poor, but children can change your whole world.  So many Nana's are raising babies these days....  You would also receive tax breaks, EIC, and other tax credits that would make it easier in the financial burden of raising them.  Please, just have her rights terminated if anything.  Take several people's written testimonies to back you up.  Get a lawyer.  If you can't... I might can help, I know someone that just got me involved with something AWESOME that I think would help you soooo much!
