Feb. 1, 2008 at 12:10 PM All have different stages....ask ur doctor if you are concerned
Some develop physically faster and others mentally. You really can't compare.
Unless there is some reason for you or ur doctor to be concerned. However if a chlld was crawling and reaching other milestones and then stops that can be a reason for concern.

Feb. 1, 2008 at 12:10 PM I don't think you have anything to worry about! Every baby is different and develops at different rates. He will crawl when he is ready to!! My son did not crawl until 10 months and did not walk until 16 months and he is just fine. If you really are worried and want to clear things up you can always ask your childs doctor about it!

Sweetie.....don't let it bother you........I have 6mth old boy is always on the go....been crawling for a month and my girl won't roll over, she can and when she does she gets mad! she can also push up on her arms and is trying to bring her legs up as well, but still not all the way up. I also have 4 other children (6 total), they ALL crawled/walked/talked at different 23mth old walked at 10 mths, he is potty training 4 yr old did not crawl until about 9 mths or so and was about 13 mths before she walked.......unless you are concerned, or your doctor is concerned-don't worry about it! All children do not fit in one mold! Some people just need to brag to make themselves feel better.....let ' long as your little one is healthy and you are both happy, don't waste your precious time worrying......enjoy this time, it does not last long!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 12:18 PM I agree with both of these moms.  As a daycare teacher in the infant room, I see a lot of developmental differences.  It's all about motivation.  The older boys we have are just more content to sit in one spot and play with what is near them.  If they don't have anything, they will scoot around on their bottoms to find something to play with.  But put them on their tummies to try to get them to crawl and OH MY, it is the end of the world.  They 2 girls that are younger, are all over the place.  They don't crawl on their hands and knees but one army crawls and the other inchworms forwards and scoots backwards.  I joke that it just shows the difference between males and females.  LOL
