1. How did you meet your spouse?

We met on myspace while he was deployed in Iraq and I was in the midst of getting a divorce.

2. Was it love at first sight?

It depends on how you look at it.  We were friends and only emailed back and forth on myspace from the time he sent me the first email until we met in person on his R&R 4 months later.  The whole time I thought he was great and he had been a very good  and impartial friend that had given me a lot of great advice throughout my divorce stuff and so I was just kind of excited to go hang out with someone for once.  I was attracted to how smart he was but I wasn't sure if we'd even have any chemistry when we met.  The night he flew in he came right over and we have never been apart since that moment on my front porch.  We made it through the rest of his deployment, hiim being in Germany for a bit and now he is 6 hours away, but our relationship is fantastic.

3. Did you know right away that you wanted to marry this person?

No, after my divorce I was originally set on not ever marrying again.

4. How long did you and your spouse date?

We actually aren't married yet right now, we plan to marry by June 2009, when I am done with nursing school, and that will put us at having been together for just less than three years, which I think is a great number.

5. What was your best date with your spouse before you were married?

There have been two very amazing trips we have taken.  After his deployment he was in Germany and he flew me over there for a week as a surprise for my family (they all live over there) and that was just wonderful.  I hadn't been there in 7 years and I hadn't seen any of them other than my sister in years!

The other thing we did that same year after his deployment was go to the Outer Banks for a short beach vacation, just me and him. It was so awesome.  I had never been in the ocean before and we had the greatest time of our lives together up to this point.

6. How long have you been married?

We've been together for 18 month now

7. Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We have been thinking about that and had originally though that we'd probably go to Hawaii, but then we saw this cool program on a travel channel about Iceland and now we are considering that, too.

8. Was it as good as you anticipated it would be?

Everything about him is better than I could ever have anticipated.

9. Did the wife in your relationship take the husband's last name?

RIght now I am still using my exhusband's last name, so of course I will be taking his when we are married.

10. Is this the first marriage for both of you?

I was married for 8 years (from the time I was 20) and had two kids, but he has never been married.

11. If not, how many times have you been married before?

Just me, once.

12. Do you have children?

Yes

13. How many?

Right now I have two from my first marriage.

14. How long were you married before you had kids?

We are trying to plan more kids into the marriage for not too long after we marry because I will be almost 31 by then and the other two will be 10 and 7 already by then.  If he gets promoted and we have to go to Leavenworth for ILE for a year that is probably when we will have another baby.  That will be followed by another soon after or we will adopt a toddler when the one we have together is a toddler.  I am all about adoption of nonbabies our of the American foster system.

15. Do you want more children?

See above.

16. If your spouse died, do you think you would ever remarry?

No, I really don't think that I would, and even if I did, I could never have with someone else what I have with Dennis.  He is my everything.
