I just love my two kids sooo much. I am so thankful that I am able to stay at home w/ Mason just as I did w/ Jacey when she was a baby. I had a conversation w/ my DH last night about me going back to work when Mason gets a little older and the more I started thinking about it the sadder I got. I mean, I liked working and getting a paycheck but that was all it was to me. I am not a career oriented person at this particular time in my life. I am child oriented if you will. I think that raising our children is the most important job there is. Many mothers today do not have a choice and must return to work after the birth of a child. Some even have to go back before their 6 weeks is up! In America we have the worst maternity leave policies in the world. Most countries allow women one to two years job security and most of them are even paid or partially paid. I think that if our country supported more women in raising their children the whole country would benefit. I feel so blessed that I can be a stay at home mom. It's hard sometimes but so worth it!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 2:20 PM awwww! You guys are adorable! Yes, i agree about this country having the worst maternity leave policies. I had to go back to work after 6 weeks, and i cried so much! Stay home if it's possible and you want to. I still cry about going back to work, and my daughter is 20. No not 20 months, 20 Years! LOL Just joking around. But for real, if you want to stay home, and you can, then do!

Well written!   I too am thankful to be able to stay at home.

Your children are so cute!    Mason's not smiling because the "group" hug is a little tight...   =)

Ya Mason actually looks a little pissed! he he. Poor little guy.

Actually I hate this pic of me anyway...but it's the only other one I have w/ me and the kids together! My face looks like a balloon.

I am so proud of my girl. Please send me all your new pictures so I can have them on my computer. The LTHA President came by to drop off a letter and approve the February Newsletter and while we were opening up the newsletter on my computer she saw Sam holding Jacey at her Birthday Party last year on my computer desktop. She said that Jacey is so adorable and cute. Could you get a picture with the children and Sam so I can have a new one for my desktop. Maybe with all of you in the picture would be great. I love showing off my grandchildren. I need to assemble a brag book. I love you and the rest of the family so much and I miss seeing you guys. I have been staying away because I had the flu a couple of weeks ago. I heard from a co-worker that Jacey's school is having a book fair. I would like to participate in going to the school when she goes to the book fair and let her pick out a book for me to buy for her. I can go before noon tomorrow. Give me a call in the morning and let me know when she and her class are going to the book fair tomorrow OK.

I am a new stay at home mom as of last week. I left my job to stay home with my son and could not be happier. We are having a good time. It is nice to hear from other stay at home mommies!
