Here lately Bella has NOT been wanting to go to daycare. I have never had a problem with her not wanting to go. So yesterday we go to get her ready to take her and she start's screaming and crying and running from us saying "NO DAYCARE!". We get her to the car and again she run's! She darted straight for the front door! So we decided to let her stay home to see if we could figure out why she didn't want to go. So this morning we went to get her ready again and she just starts crying! Finally I get her to calm down and I ask her why...and you know what her response was....

"Teacher hit me."     That's it! That is why my daughter refuses to go back is because the teacher hit her! So I called the school and calmly ask about it and the guy said the director would have to call me back. So the director get's there, he tell's her what is going on and she call's me. She then start's asking about what kind of child she is, is she quite, does she play by herself or with others and blah blah blah. So after I get done telling her that she is a normal kid who plays great with other's she then informs me she has not had a report of a teacher hitting in THAT room. Which mean's it has happend there before! I unfortunatly have no proof because there are no marks on her and she is fine. All I have to go by is what she told me and how she is acting. I am so mad right now I can't see! So she said she would investigate it, go talk to the teacher's and see what they say. (Like they would really admit to it if they did) and then she will call me back. I guess we are looking for a new daycare now. Uggg!!!

Dont take her back!  OMG!  I am sorry you even had to go through that.     Before I had read the entire story through, I knew that something happened at the DayCare for your child to not want to go.     I would report the Day Care to any place you can so that other parents know.

I didn't know the kids were still in daycare, I thought you were staying home with them?

Anyways, are they still here in Elgin?  That is crazy, I'd definitly follow through on it, people need to knw these things.  We don't have many good places here to choose from as it is! Keep me posted!

You do need to report this, not only to authorities, but the BBB, Children's Protective Services and others need to know about this problem before it happens to another child.  May have happened to other children, but you just do not know about it.

I think that first you to your County Attorney's Office or the local District Attorney's Office.  This is not a small matter.  I worked in our prosecutor's office for 8 years!  I really do think that this is something that they need to know about.  Let them check into it and that also takes the blame off of you.  They will have it investigated and get back to you, or at least that is how our office worked.
