Something is wrong with Daniel.

Some of you may know that Daniel is having a simple umbilical hernia repaired here in a few weeks. Well Monday we went in for some regular blood test. We got called back to the doctors yesterday. They start asking all these questions like, has he been tired, has he been eating well, has he been bruising or had nose bleeds, has he been sick alot? Well we answered yes to all of them, he has been sick and tired but he also just started school after being home all his life so the doctor and myself chalked it up to that. He has started bruising alot but he also plays hard at school. HE is also having nose bleeds but once again from school he has learned the joy of picking your nose (yeah I know but what can I say he is a boy). No he is not eating well, not like he use to. He did break a bone this summer.

Well it turns out his blood count is low but his white count is high. So we are rushed over to the hospital to do more test and some x-rays of his body. They told me we may be looking at leukemia or some sort of cancer, but then again it may just be a cold or his body going threw a change. I am freaked out, my small town has a high number of children with cancer, right now I know of 8 who local churches are raising money for.

The doctor asked us to bring pictures from last year and then some taken here in the past few months to see if they can see a change in color or tone. I am so worried here are a few pictures can you all see a change? I see him every day so maybe I missed it. Well just keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

As far as pictures go, I don't think they could tell anything, it would totally depend on the lighting the photos were taken in.

Feb. 6, 2008 at 6:15 PM He looks like a normal, healthy boy to me.  Beautiful child.  Don't stress yourself out.  Follow up on all the medical everything.  He is beautiful.  I will keep your family in my prayers.
