I lent my friend our Britax companion (the infant carrier) it is not expired and was not in an accident so I had no problem lending it to her. When she and her husband went to install it in there car last night and discovered that the latches that hold the seat belt were broken.

My friend called up Britax hoping to get a replacement part, or new base and found out that they no longer make the same base. There are sending a BRAND NEW CARSEAT AT NO COST!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is great customer service!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 4:48 PM We bought a Britax after having a Graco Infant carrier.  While I loved the Graco, I couldn't be happier with the Britax...so good to know that they're so nice!!  I am thrilled!  And, as for the cost, I bought ours on Amazon and it was comparable to all the others out there--so why not right?!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 4:49 PM I forgot to add that the reason the piece was broken was because my dh threw it up into the attic in just a plastic trash bag, because he wouldn't keep the box like I asked him to. If it had broken because of the plastic being defective I would have expected them to replace it, but when the fault was ours, I am very pleasntly suprised that they were willing to replace it with out any cost
