It shows we're saved

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love other believers."(1John 3:14)

Loving other believers is the evidence that we belong to God's family.

The fruit flowing from our relationship with God is because of our love for other believers.  It is important to understand that this does not establish our relationship with him.  "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourself, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast."(Ephesians 2:8-9)

When we become members of God's family (Ephesians 2:19) it moves us from being selective to being free and unconditional with our love.  Anyone who loves in this way is "Born of God and knows God."(1John 4:7)  Without this christlike love, we can't possibly claim to be part of God's family(1John 3:10)

Take into consideration: If you are only concerned about your own needs and have no love for others, then maybe you should question whether Christ is really in your life.  If you are doubting your salvation then you need to ask yourself: Do I love other believers?

Can you remember when you said "yes" to God and allowed Jesus to transform your heart?  If you said no then maybe it is time to do so.  Who are you living for yourself or for God?

You may be wondering if you will have the strength to live for God and love like he asks of you, but don't worry God will give you what you need to live for him and become his family member.  "Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the one who invited us to God."(2Peter:1:3)

Learning to love like Jesus is by comitting yourself 100% to Jesus Christ.  "To all who recieve him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."(John 1:12)

Are you going to accept God's offer?

You must first believe God loves you and made you for his purposes.  You are not an accident.  Believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for you and then was raised from the dead.(Romans 10:9)  You must believe that no matter what you have done in your past that God wants to forgive you.

You must secondly recieve Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  You must recieve his forgiveness.  "Who ever accepts and trusts the son gets in on everything, Life complete and forever."(John 3:36)  To recieve him bow your head and say "Jesus I believe in you and I recieve you."

"The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through life."(Galatians 5:6)
