The Life of a Momma of Twins - Twice!

I love my husband.  I truly do -- he is my best friend, and I don't know what I would do without him.  That being said...I could strangle him some days!!!!

We found out I was pregnant at the end of July.  With twins.  Again.  I was over 2 months along when we found out, so I started showing pretty quickly.  I sent him up to our storage room to find my bin of maternity clothes.  I had gotten rid of a LOT of stuff from my first pregnancy including maternity clothes, but I kept at least one bin full of stuff I couldn't part with (thinking I may be able to use it again one day).  Our storage room is probably one of the most organized rooms in our house (don't ask how that happened!) -- Just stacks and stacks of bins, most of which are even labeled!  He goes up to search and comes back to tell me the bin with my maternity clothes is not up there (we've moved about 3 or 4 times since I last wore them, so it's not impossible!).  I say "Are you sure?" He says YES!  I ask "Did you look in every single bin that's up there?  EVERY one??"  He gets all pissy, irritated that I would question his ability to locate a simple bin of items and says "YES, I looked through every single bin!"

So, I've had to buy some new maternity clothes, I have some wonderful friends who passed down some to me, got a good deal on eBay, and when all else fails, I just wear hubby's big old clothes.

Fast forward to today.  I am almost 36 weeks pregnant.  I have maybe two weeks left before I have these babies.  This is, in all likelihood, my last pregnancy.  Hubby JUST came downstairs from the storage room -- he was rearranging it so we could fit the Christmas bins back in there.  He is carrying something with him -- my maternity jeans from 3 years ago!!!  He tells me I'm never going to believe this, but he just found a WHOLE BIN OF MATERNITY CLOTHES!!!  Excuse me?!  I remember vividly the conversation we had 5 or 6 months ago, and I remember specifically asking him if he physically looked in every single bin.  And I remember how OFFENDED he was that I questioned him.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!  There were clothes I could have worn to work, there were lounging clothes I could have worn and been comfy in -- most of those clothes probably won't fit me at this stage -- I'm HUGE.  But seriously?!  He is always wounded that I second guess him or question his ability...but there are reasons I do!!!  This type of thing happens a LOT around our house.  It isn't that he doesn't try, or doesn't mean well, but he just has this....flaw.  I have many, MANY examples of this, but I've gone on long enough.  I love my hubby, I think he is a great man, and a great father.  Organized, he is not, but I'll keep him anyway!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 5:16 PM this made me smile,  don't worry your not alone. Not that it matters. I am sure at 36 wks pregnant you are just frustrated.  Hang in there!   All you can do is love him. That's what I have to do with mine. :)

Feb. 3, 2008 at 12:03 PM LMBO!!!  I can relate to this's so typical!  But like you said, there are so many other great qualities to outweigh this one that we have to keep them!
