I am so proud of my little one!  She is growing up so fast.  Not too long ago Sophia began showing an intrest in the potty.  When the 4 yr old I used to babysit would go potty Sophia would stand at the door and watch her.  She always follows me and watches me when I go.  So, today she handed me a diaper which is her way of saying "change me" (she's been doing that for awhile now), I went to change her and she was dry so I asked if she wanted to go potty.  She said yes and ran down the hall!  So I put her little potty seat on the potty, sat her on it and handed her a book.  A couple minutes later she peed!!  Yeah!  I shouted yeah and told her she was a big girl, gave her a sticker and a high five.  Later after nap I asked if she wanted to go potty and she said yes.  Same thing she peed after just a couple mins.  Then after dinner she went again and as I sit here writing this her Daddy just said she went again!  Oh my gosh I can't believe she's going on the potty.  She is going to be 18 months old tomorrow!!!  This weekend we're going to buy her some training diapers, a potty book and a travel seat to put on the big potty.  I'm so excited and I hope she keeps it going.  I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and it would be so nice to have her potty trained before the baby comes.

May. 4, 2008 at 8:33 PM wow you're so lucky. my boy knows when he pees and poops but doesn't want any part of the potty. i think it's too cold to sit on. it would be so nice to have him potty trained b4 the baby comes in august but i don't think it's going to happen. he is way smart and understands everything i say and can talk in short sentences but he's not having any part of it right now. congrats.i wish it was that easy for me
