I had a doctor appt yesterday. Of course I just expected to go in there for my weight, BP and urine sample. My doctor has asked how things have been going since my last visit and I let her know that I had lost my mucus plug on Monday. I also told her I have been having more cramping and a ton of round ligament pain. She said that all of that sounds normal but since I had gone early with my daughter she said that she thought it would be a good idea to check me. She said I am starting to soften out a little but that everything looked good. She said she would really like if the baby could hold off at least two more weeks but anytime after that point would be okay for me to deliver. She then mentioned that she doesn't think that I will go all of the way to my due date! Yikes!  I don't want to get my hopes up on that , but I have been so uncomfortable with this pregnancy that I am just ready to get this child out of me! lol

The ultra sound tech that works in my office took a peek at me today. She did the measurements to see how big the baby is. (Of course they are not totally accurate, but the measurements showed that the baby weighs approximately 5lbs 14 oz!!!) I am freaking out! I am worrying now that this baby is going to be HUGE! My daughter was only 6lbs 8oz when she was born...and I can't imagine pushing out a baby much bigger than she was! I was joking with my hubby tonight saying that "I  quit" and that I am not going to do this anymore... lol It was only part a joke though....I don't want to do this now! I know I don't have a choic, but I am scared out of my mind. Most would think that I would be totally ready this time being that it is not my first...but I think that is what scares me more....as I have said before...Now I DO KNOW what to expect!  YIKES!

Feb. 1, 2008 at 11:01 PM Maybe you'll end up like me - my kids were within an inch and an ounce of each other when they were born. Jacob was 7 lbs. 6 oz. and 20.4" ... Josephine was 7 lbs. 7 oz. and 19.9" - the funny thing was that she measured a lot bigger than Jake most of the time, but came out nice and average. You'll be fine though...second time was way easier when it came down to the actual birth. Good luck!
