Today my mother-in-law was moved to a rehab nursing home.  She is in so much pain.  Her Alzheimer's has progressed rapidly.  She kept asking for her husband who's been gone five years.  We had to tell her he's gone, and she was shocked.  Then she'd ask again in a few minutes.  Can you imagine learning that your husband died every few minutes?  I wish God would take her home.

I also found out today that my oldest son has taken the job in Portland, which is about as far as he could move from us without living in the ocean.  I have been very close to my grandchildren, so it is hard for me to know I will not get to see them much after they move.

I wish I knew what God is trying to teach me by taking away so many things that are dear to me.  I'd like to learn quick so I could get it over with!

I am really hurting tonight.

Jan,

I am so sorry that you are hurting.  I know exactly how you feel.  I know there is really nothing that I can say to make the pain go away.  I just want you to know that I care and Jesus cares.  He has everything worked out for you and your family.  He has his reasons for allowing the things to happen the way they do.  We just have to trust him.  "Sorrow looks back, worry looks around and faith looks up".  Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:2

Be Blessed and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugz,
Karen

Feb. 4, 2008 at 10:45 AM I am sorry for all of what you are going through right now.  I wish I had some answers or magic words, but as I am sure you know, there are none.  God has this under control though, I promise you that.  i will be praying for you and your family!
