Wow, I can not believe I have a toddler now. Mackie just turned 1 on January 8, and it seems like every day she learns something new. Yesterday she bailed out of her crib and landed feet first, then fell and hit her bottom. She scared herself, but didn't hurt herself thank you. That little stunt motivated her dad to lower her crib even more (which I have been asking him to do for a couple of weeks). Then, today she got into the baby wipes, and pulled 50 of them out. By the time I got those put away, she had gone in the bathroom to unroll half of the last roll of toilet paper we had. So, I had to put the part that she unrolled and tore off, and put it in a plastic bag, so we could still use it. She is so wild, but is so adorable. I wish I had half of the energy she does.

Now, Connor is about to become mobile. He keeps getting into a push up position and rocking back and forth. He is all over the place by way of rolling and has been for a while. However, I know he will be crawling within the next month of so, and that wears me out just thinking about it. At least right now I know the room he is in. I don't know what I will do when he can crawl. I have baby proofed my house, so I allow Mackie to roam from the living room, bathroom, hall, and their bedroom. The rest of the house is blocked by baby gates. However, half of the time I have to listen carefully to figure out where to find her. Our house is not very big though. But once Connor starts crawling, I will have two of them roaming the house. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to him crawling, but the very thought of how much more difficult my life is going to be gives me a little anxiety. Oh well, I guess I'll just figure it out as I go, like I have thus far.

I just thought I would share how the kids are, and what new adventures the kids are embarking on.

Feb. 2, 2008 at 2:37 AM LOL... We seem to share some things in common... my daughter is 18 months and does pretty much what your daughter is doing, and my son is starting to do the same thing, but he's 6 months and should be crawling anytime now, and then to top it off number 3 is coming... Fun, fun... the only difference is that my kids don't have bathroom access, my daughter not only will unroll all the toilet paper, she also sticks it into the toliet so it's unusable, and she plays in the toliet and with the plunger...LOL...

Hang in there!  Two under the age of two should keep you running and hopping, and chasing, and about the time Conner can crawl . . . =) umm Mackie should be learning to climb over the baby gates.  So if it's not one thing it's another . . .  :) always something to look forward to!
