This and that

The true story of a stay at home mom.

I love the pregnant body. I think there is nothing sweeter then seeing the pictures on myspace and here of the sweet little couple expecting their first child together.however, this is not my first child, it is in fact my third.I am almost 26 years old and I have been making babies since I was 17. When I found out I was pregnant with my first daughter, i maybe had a cute little pouch for like a minute. Then, I just looked fat.

I mean really fat, two weeks before my maternity leave somebody actually told me they had no idea I was pregnant. I was nine months!!! i guess I have a body type that looks fat naturally. My second daughter no pudge, just more fat.

So as you can imagine after two pregnancies like that, I have a bit of a pooch??  Okay, thats a lie, I have stretchy Fatty saggy skin that will not go away!! I have done sit ups, lost weight, used machines and creams, and the stretchy fatty saggy skin just kinda hangs there, laughing at me.

I have made peace with my stomach. After all, it is a reminder that I housed my two babies in there for the first nine months of their lives. And with the aide of  fat suckers andlonger shirts being in style, I was actually comfortable wearing normal clothes again, instead of my "Mom" outfits.

Then of course, that good ol' biological clock starts tickin for the hubby and he wants a baby. And because I love the guy, I caved.

So there I am the other night, trying not to throw up dinner, when he suggests we start taking pictures of my belly week by week.

Your kidding right??

That brings me back to the start of my post, the young girl who gets that cute little pooch at 6 or 7 weeks, by 6 months she looks like she swallowed a basketball. And after she pops the kids out. Almost all skin returns to normal.

I hate her!

maybe its the Pilate's she has been doing since she was a freshman in high school, or the fact that she waited until she was married and owned a home before she got pregnant, no matter what The reason. My body does not look like that.

The thought of my S.F.S.S being on display for the whole myspace world to see is more then I can stomach. Besides, I don't get that cute pregnant look to me, I get that "Move over so tubo can get by you" look.

I am almost three months a the skin is starting to fill out.

As my husband so lovingly reminded me tonight

"Damn honey, Your ass is gonna be huge by nine months!"

Thanks babe, Thanks .

Feb. 2, 2008 at 1:32 AM LMAO I'm sorry to laugh but I couldn't resist. I too have that same problem. Mine was never the cute little basketball belly it was always the fatty, stretchy, saggy skin and still is and my kids are getting ready to turn 8 and 5. I hate my belly but like you said because it did house my children for nine months I have learned to be comfortable in it. One day though I hope I can get rid of

Feb. 4, 2008 at 1:32 AM Aw, he loves you! (well, that's good, LMAO) Ok. I have a bit of a pooch when I'm at my THINNEST. And, even after my first, my skin doesn't show ANY promise of not being the S.F.S.S. you speak of! Then again, I'm 26 and by now that teenage body is long gone. By the way... great attitude! I, too, have made peace with my stomach. Well, my stretch marks, at least. I'll make peace with the rest after the weight is gone and the sit-ups/crunches/yoga/pilates etc are all done and it's still there. Then we can be "cool", me and my tummy. I would do it all over again, knowing that I'd get stretch marks, if it's the price I have to pay to have my son!

Feb. 12, 2008 at 4:36 AM I hear ya!  I've only had 1 baby and I have all that and then some more.  I was in maternity clothes by my 2nd month.  When I was 6 months some guy asked me if I was going to have my twins right there in the store.  Of course I cried.  ASS!  My husband calls the skin and strech marks beautifull war wounds.  I think he is nuts!  It's all part of the fun of being a mommy!  I'm sure that you look great!  You always have.

LOL.. I'm sorry to laugh- it was funny - what he said about your derrier by 9 months...

My husband likes my stretch marks- how sick is that?? they have that silvery look and he thinks they look cool. Thanks. whatever. He's never said my cellulite is neat though- so we agree on that one.

I have no belly pics. which is weird becuase we both take LOTS of pics. I'm kinda sad when I see belly pics here. Oh, well. I get over it quickly.

and I noticed the time stamps on your journals- usually shortly after I go to bed and by the time I get on the next morning, no wonder I never go far enough on my 'new freind posts' list. I'll have to just check your profile next time. I feel bad for missing so many.
