Does anyone else wake up like this?  It is Saturday morning. The kids went to bed last night and we sat up till 11pm.  At the crack of dawn, the two kids are running around the house screaming, a  ll the lights are on.  The next thing we know, they come running into the bedroom and start throwning themselves on the bed.  I get elbowed in the face and hubby gets it is the stomach.  The older one starts screaming pillow fight and all our attempts to get them to calm down and get off the bed fail. Defeated, we get up. My head hurts and I am exhausted and have to start another day with the 2 energetic children.  I was just wondering if we were the only ones who get this in the morning,

YES, YES, YES!  I think it is our biggest gripe about parenthood.  Sometimes I feel like my ability to wake up on my own schedule has been robbed!  In hinesight, though, I think it will probably be the times we and the kids will remember most when their

Feb. 2, 2008 at 9:48 AM he he lucky me I guess!  Most of the time my kids are the WORST, but at least on Saturday mornings the big one will watch cartoons and the middle and little ones like to nurse in bed, so we do have to get up early but at least we get to ease into our mornings.  It may sound evil but i'm kind of glad to find something in which my kids aren't the most rowdy!  And to you....  hang in there - before you know it they will be teenagers and wanting to sleep until 2 in the afternoon...

Oh, yeah, us, too.  Amazing, how Monday through Friday, they just want to sleep " a few more minutes", but Saturday morning, after being up half the night, they are running like crazy monkeys before the sun comes up.  We have three...blessings.  ahem.  My husband and I take turns getting up with them, like I'll take Saturday and sleep in on Sunday, he'll sleep in on Sat, make breakfast on Sun.  I don't know if it works, but everyone is still alive!
