I'm am so ready for this week to be over...ugh.  So last night after Maris had dinner I was changing her diaper and putting her pj's on and she was giggling and being her happy, normal self when I saw her front tooth was chipped...pretty badly.  It wasn't earlier so the only thing we can guess is that she did it at dinner...she had nothing hard just chicken and noodles, squash that was steamed, and pudding.  She never yelped or cried or anything.  We can't find the other piece I'm assuming she swallowed it.  The only thing I can think that could've happened is that she is learning to eat with a spoon and maybe she did something with that.  But, here I am again this week with a hurt baby.  It isn't sensitive to her I've checked but it's sharp and looks like hell.  So, do I call an emergency dentist or do I wait until Monday?  I found stuff online and it said if they have no sensitivity it's not crucial they go in right away.  I am so upset I was bawling last night.,  We don't have dental insurance right now so I have no idea how much dental bonding costs...do any of you?  I think the next step is to put her in a protective bubble.

Feb. 2, 2008 at 9:31 AM Don't worry it is a baby tooth and will fall out.  You might want it to be smoothed out though so she doesn't hurt herself.    I hope she is better soon.

Feb. 4, 2008 at 10:10 AM I'm so sorry this happened! Keep your chin up things will calm down.  I'm glad that she is not bothered by the tooth.  Maybe you can add her to insurance and than take her in, I'm not too sure how much it would cost otherwise.
