My insomnia is getting worse.  I can barely take naps during the day anymore.  My mind just won't stop.  Its making me lag on house chores and dinners.  I don't enjoy the things I used to.  I have no energy for it anymore.  Today I want to take Astrid out and find a playground that actually has baby swings, hopefully I can make it alittle longer.

During the day I just want to hide in my bed.  Under the covers, to do nothing else.  I literally have to force myself to get up, I force myself to the gym some days during the week.  Exercise is not helping the sleep issue.

Theres so much I want to do.  So many books I want to read but I'm just too tired to do it.  Once I lay down however, I just lay there for hours wondering when I will fall asleep.

I've noticed I'm also experiencing anxiety waiting to fall asleep, not sure why or whats going on there.

I wish I knew why this is happening.

Feb. 2, 2008 at 12:42 PM Well the less sleep you get the worse you will become...I had that experience for about 2/3 months straight...I picked up TYLANOL PM..I took two every-night and gradually started to sleep....You have to get your sleep you will be OUT OF YOUR MIND if you don't..

Feb. 2, 2008 at 12:45 PM I've thought of Tylenol PM, however my sister overdosed on them.  She took them to help her insomnia every night for a very long time, eventually 2 pills didn't work, then she took 4, and eventually, after some time, one night she just kept taking pills.  She overdosed.  Obviously there was some underlying issue there perhaps but she swears they just weren't working.  Since then they scare me.  I would feel alittle guilty taking them.

Feb. 2, 2008 at 1:09 PM I would go to your doctor about this. It could be a medical issue, like anemia or something or you might just need to unload to a couselor. Don't feel like you have to feel miserable, see what a doctor says.

Feb. 2, 2008 at 2:08 PM I agree that you should definitely see a doctor. It could be a medical problem, or a serious chemical inbalance in your brain. I've been here too many times before. It could be that you have stress in your life that you don't consciously realize is there, which can cause some serious painful side effects. I only know this, because it happened to me. My sophmore year of high school I was so overloaded with stress that I didn't even know was there that it caused TMJ, which, if I remember correctly you said you've had before. Aside from that, unless you get to a doctor and remedy this, you will be out of your mind. Not to mention, you deserve to have fun in your life! Maybe you just need to unload about what is stressing you out, at least talk to someone (even if it's not a doctor) about everything that is on your mind that keeps you awake. I'll be around if you need to talk, just let me know. If there is ANYTHING at all I can do, I'd be more than willing. Good luck, hon.

All I have to say is Rozerem.  Go to the doc and get some...it is non-addictive.

Or, if you prefer the natural route, go to your local GNC and get some triptophan.

Hope that helps some!

Feb. 2, 2008 at 7:45 PM One other suggestion I have is an herbal remedy called Melatonin. Worked for me like a charm!
