Has anyone ever heard of the heartbeat determining the gender of the baby?  I have always heard that the higher the heart rate is the more likely it is a boy.  Is that true?

Feb. 2, 2008 at 1:34 PM I've heard that too, but my doc said that isn't always the case. He says the only way you know for sure..is well...the baby's birthday. :-) HA

I have heard that...but the opposite...the faster more likely a girl, slower more chances for a boy.  My doctor said that typically that is true, but there are defintely many, many cases when it is not.  In my group June 2008 babies, we had a big post on this, and for the most part it was right on, with a few exceptions...the group is June 2008 Babies, it is a public group so you should be able to go to it and search for that post and read what everyone said about it.

It did work for all three of my babies...first girl was in the 160s, boy was in the 140s and my pregnancy now has been mid 150s and we found out it is a girl...so maybe there is something to this myth...
