So we have had our Golden Retriever for 6 months we rescued her at a year old and I have regretted it ever since. She is amazing, sweet and great with the kids but I can't keep her in the dang yard. She scales my 6 foot fence like it is nothing so we built an 8 ft dog run she dug holes under it so we put boulders around it and then she started climbing over. So today I let her outside to potty and she bolted and got hit by a car. The lady hit her at 45 and she flew over the back of the car. My brother in law was going to take care of it before I saw her but his wife called me. I go outside and there she is in the yard playing. She is acting totally fine. Now all my neighbors are mad at me for her being out and the lady that hit her. I even tried chaining her and she broke the metal chain. I tried to find her a new home and my husband freaked. I don't know what else to do I even tried a shock collar and she just keeps running. I cannot walk her as I am pregnant and suffering from hyperemeisis. I just don't know what to do anymore.

You need some help.  Check with your vet and pet stores near you and the phone book and see if you can find a dog trainer to help with with these behavior issues.  Check the trainer out, make sure he or she has experience with behavior problems and ask for a reference and follow up on it.

PM me if you want to further describe her behavior issues.  I'm a trainer--I work with behavior problems a lot.
