Does she climb out of the crib?  If not, I wouldn't change her.  My daughter's 19 months old, and if she still hasn't climbed out by the time she's two, I'm in no hurry to change her to a bed.

I do wnat to ask about something, though.  Does her pediatrician say she's normal for not walking?  I'm just asking because I know most babies do by the time they're a year and a half.  Anyway, don't feel bad keeping her in the crib.

Does your daughter have a medical condition that keeps her from walking?  All of my 4 children were walking by the time they were a year old.  As for potty training, she'll give you clues when she's ready.  Don't push.

Toddler bed   if she's not climbing out of the crib, not too long for the crib, or you don't need the crib for a new baby.....you don't have to switch them when they are 2.

Feb. 2, 2008 at 6:36 PM all she really does in her crib is she does stand up in it and while holding on ti it she walks i don't think she has a medical condition that stops her from walking but she does have low thyroidism i was told by my mom at age to is when to start potty training and another woman i mat said sense she pats her side when she is wet that it was time to start but i want other opinions cause i don't really trust my mom and i don't know the other woman

Feb. 2, 2008 at 7:03 PM I waited until my kids were 3 because it was alot faster and easier when they were old enough to talk a little better and understand a little better what's going on.  I tried at 2 with my first and it was hopeless.  As far as the crib, I agree with everyone else! I didn't take mine out until they crawled out of the crib.  Once they learn that, it's time, because they can fall and injure themselves.
