SO I JUST HAD MY BABY LAST WEEKEND AND IM BREAST FEEDING ,SO I HAVE A QUESTION FOR HOW ONG SHOULD I HAVE THE BABY ON EACH SIDE SO HE COULD EAT EMOUGH???AND HOW DO I KNOW IF HE ATE ENOUGH??

I always switched off after about 20 minutes per side.  When they start dozing off, they're probably getting full.  Some babies drink faster than others, so the time isn't really set in stone.  You could also try switching more frequently, if you have problems with leaking while you're nursing (like, if you're feeding on the right, and the left starts leaking a lot).

Make sure sure use both sides equally, though.  One thing I found out with my 1st baby is that if you feed more on one side, the other will produce less milk.  All 4 of my kids fed easier on the left (probably because I'm right-handed and it was easier to hold them that way).  My oldest son HAD to eat on the left, and I didn't know any better so I went with it.  Lo and behold, the right side dried up completely, and I ended up lopsided till I weaned him.  I'm actually still a little lopsided, but I can't prove that's why.  Why take a risk though?
