The last place i went in the car was on strike.  This morning I was mad because dh was just sleeping.  Well, that sounds bad, but he is off Fri, Sat, Sun.  Last night I informed him today was cleaning day.  We are having friends for superbowl, so the toilets should be clean, right?  That is his jurisdiction.  Not because I won't do it, but he won't let me.  I do it "wrong".  I bring him coffee in the mornings, and today I made him get out of bed to get it.  I think he was irritated with me because he started cleaning the house really "loud".  You know what I mean?  After that dd started to whine about playing a game, all while dh just kept harping on her to clean up her toys.  I just pretended I was not bothered.  Then, time was up.  Yep.  I got up from the kitchen table (where I was here on cafemom), put on my hoodie and some clogs, grabbed my laptop and phone.  I made my way through the hallway and dh stopped me, nearly out the door!  I was still wearing my jammies.  Luckily they are warm and fuzzy.  DH asked where I was going, "on strike" I said with a smile.  I was not angry, just done with it.  I headed toward my MIL's house (she was at work)!  I had a very nice, peaceful three hours there.  When I got home dh had almost cleaned the entire house!  I should go on strike more often!

Feb. 2, 2008 at 10:42 PM I feel you sister! I think all of us should go on strike sometimes.I Went to work the other day, when I came home the next morning he hadn't even loaded the dish washer. He could tell I was mad. So he got out of bed-and starting cleaning. He knew I wasn't very happy.

Feb. 7, 2008 at 10:20 PM I feel ya.  Before I flipped out and started throwing things away, I put on my shoes and told the kids "bye--see ya tomorrow!!!  Yeah--right.  I left for about 2 hours (bought my oldest some shoes and boxers) and came home where of course nothing was done and everyone was arguing.  That's the problem here---4 kids no hubby to get on them(I miss him).  But I had enough and needed the break.  As much as a pain in the neck as he is you won't believe how much he'd be missed if he weren't there.  Count you LUCKY stars that he cleaned up.  A lot of men won't do it AT ALL!!!  LOL!!!  Have a great day and go on strike more often!!! LOL!!!
