Well, for the past 2 OB visits my uterus has been measuring 3-4cm more than typical.  Doctor estimates that he will be about 9-9.5 pounds!  What the hell?  How am I supposed to push that out?  My first was 8 lbs and he was born 3 weeks early.  I had him vaginally but I also tore pretty badly.  I don't know, as chicken as I am about surgeries and pain and stuff I might elect to have a C-section.  I can  deal w/labour pain as long as I know an epidural is pending but I'm just so traumatized by the whole tearing part of it!  I don't ever want to experience that again!

Feb. 11, 2008 at 3:02 PM Oh girl, I feel for you!  Both of my boys were over 9lbs!  Tyler was 9lbs 13ozs and Ethan was 9lbs, 2.6ozs, so I know what you are up against.  To tell you the truth, it really wasn't all that bad.  You will be just fine, try not to stress about it, doctors aren't always right, heck he might be a 7 pounder, hang in there!
