so this is my problem..........i sent in my application to snow college to major in english. that just doesnt feel right. and besides, the publishing company likes my book and they are going to publish it anyway, so i have been thinking about taking other courses, but which do i choose?

office management is an option, ive been a receptionist my whole life and i love it. i also love helping people, thats when my mother in law hurts herself i am the first one there to make sure that she is taken care of and does what the dr says. but i love that too. office management would be shorter than say CNA classes because i could get a certificate and be working sooner. the only downside to being a cna is cleaning old people. i have issues with other people (besides carson) pooing and having to clean it. then i think about how short my patience is but i love beening needed. i love having people depend on me. it makes me feel good knowing that i can take care of someone. but on the other hand i like being bossy and telling people what to do, if i was an office manager i would be in charge of hiring and firing and bossing. such a toss up, but i need to pull my head out of my butt and decide QUICK!!!! the clock is ticking.........

Feb. 6, 2008 at 9:08 PM Well you do have a decision to make, I think that you may need to consider one of two things, one, go to school to become an LPN instead of a CNA, then there is little to no cleaning older people?, Or you can do what I do, I have the best of both worlds, I work in dentistry, I am in charge of several people, I am there to help people and I LOVE what I do. You have to have a strong stomach though to do it.  Just some things to think about. I don't know where you live, but in some states, you can be a dental asst in 6 months or less! Some even train you in the office. And you can go from there. There are several certifications you can get and licenses to get that can take you a long way into it if you want to go that far? Good luck!!
