UGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I'm so sick of looking at houses and dealing with crappy realtors I could puke. Every time we look at a house, there's always something wrong with it, and instead of just answering my questions about the problems, the person showing us the house ALWAYS says--"Oh that's not that big of a deal, you know, you could fix that up no problem."  THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED!!! But maybe there is a silver lining---I looked at a 4 br, 2 bath the other day, talked to the owner---finally! a house FSBO!!--and I think it might be "The One"....oh God I hope so. Daniel is at work, he won't be home til Wednesday morning, so as soon as he gets home, I'm going to take him over there to look at it. I know he'll love it....I've already set up a meeting with the owner for Friday to get things started. So please, PLEASE pray that everything goes good....I really REALLY want this house, and I hope everything works out.....but like we all know, things can come up at the last minute and ruin the whole thing. When we first moved here, we were looking at a house and worked everything out with the owner on the phone. He wanted us to send him the money, then he would send us the papers. Do I look (or sound) that stupid? So we agreed to this--he would fax the papers to Office Depot, we would look at them, sign them, make copies, and fax them back the same day, and then send him the money when we had all the records (and proof) we needed. Sooo...while we were still in the house, and I was on the phone with the guy, another couple came in looking at it. By this time the owner and I had already agreed on everything I wrote up there. So we went to Office Depot and waited...and waited...and waited some more. He never sent the papers, and he wouldn't even answer the phone when we I left him a nice little message about how to treat people when you've already given them your word, and a few other things as had turned around and given the house to the couple that had come in while we were there, bc they were willing to send him the money before anything. Great...I get punished for being the smart one. BUT---everything happens for a reason, and it did all work out--when we moved out here, Daniel was working for a crappy company, thanks to our neighbor here, he got on at H&P, working 7 on 7 off, instead of 7 days a week, no days off, making twice as much money. And now we have the chance to get this bigger, better house....but if it doesn't happen, that just means there's something better meant for us down the road. I hope. Wish me luck!
