Stop with the two middle name fluff already. Its just so pretentious.  Any freaking form you fill out that is computerized is only going to recognize one middle name anyhow. I saw some kid today in the news paper that not only had two middles names but her last name was hyphenated! Let's saddle the kid with a two ton name right from get go shall we? People are suppose to have one first name, one middle, one last name. That is it. Some nit wit started this two middle name trend and so it goes. Are you that freaking indecisive that you can't just narrow it down to one middle name like all the rest of the generations have done? Why do you have to try soooo hard to be sooo unique? It's NOT unique anymore! It's trendy now. Jump on the popular bandwagon everyone!  We can't let our kid be the only kid in jr pre-k with only one middle name! She'll feel left out! Next year it will turn into "Having 2 middle names is soo last year! Everyone has three middle names now!". Then next year it will be four1!

I don't see how it's bad to have two middle names. Although I guess it depends on the purpsoe. My daughter is Emmaleigh Kawaii Rose. Kawaii is there to seperate the other names so there is no association with that horror movie and also it's to honor my husband's love of Japan. It means cute.

In my husband's family his step mother is half hawaiin, her mother was native hawaiin and so in Mama Clell's family ALL the children have two middle names. They have a regular first and middle name then a hawaiin name. And most of the children have done that as well. But it's something that was done to honor the hawaiin heritage of their mother and also that their father served his mission and his time in WW2 both in Hawaii.

But you ARE intitled to your own oppinion. I just think it's up to parents.

i dont see why it bothers you so much.  a lot of people do it to honor more than one person, IE two grandparents in a middle name.  If you dont like it, dont do it.
