My Mamaw passed away. She is truly and amazing woman. She will be missed by so many of us! She battled Pancreatic cancer since Nov 2006. She also had congestive heart failure and other health issues. She proved the dr's wrong and amazed them with how she fought.  She lived beyond what they told her. Over new years she was on a ventilator and they were telling us she was not strong enough to get off of it. She proved them wrong yet again and blessed us with another month!

I found this Poem on the Internet:

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be,
He closed his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me".
In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were  broken, you fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain,
We could not wish you back to suffer so again.
So keep your arms around her Lord, and give her special care.
Make up for all she suffered and all that seemed unfair

I have a slideshow dedicated to her on my homepage and I have pics posted of her from our recent trips down there (pgs 1,2 and 9).

I am really at a loss of words to say. Please keep my family in your prayers. There will be a lot of people traveling to attend the funeral so please pray for safe travels for all of us! My Mamaw is an amazing, extraordinary woman. She is My Hero!

Feb. 3, 2008 at 12:17 PM I am so sorry sweetie!!  This really brought tears to my eyes.  We loss my grandma on Feb 2, 2001 and of course every year I get emotional about it.  I think we both had similar relationships with them, and I know it is extremely difficult.  It will take time for the pain to subside a little, but there will always be a void in your life.  I try to make my grandma a part of my life even though she is not here....I got married w/ her rings so she could be a part of it, and I gave Mackenzie my grandma's maiden name for her middle name.  It makes me still feel close to her.  I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts.  If you need anything please feel free to message me.
