My oldest daughter is having signs she is getting ready to start her cycle. She has been cramping for a few months now but she hasnt started yet. She is takin pain meds. and useing a heating pad. I dont know if its normal or if i should take her into the Dr. I dont want to scare her and make her worry even more. I had the problems she is having but it was after i had my children. I know this can be a touchy subject but im worried and need some advice.

Feb. 3, 2008 at 11:13 AM I don't know how old your daughter, but I know that younger girls sometimes miss cycles, or have extra cycles. If she has been having pain for a few months I would definetly call the doctor.

The only advice that I can give is from my own experience.   I don't remember cramping before it started, but I'm sure that part could be normal.   Is it constant cramping?   If so then I think I would call the doctor.

Sorry, I haven't been very helpful, but I'll say a prayer that it is just normal symptons.
